FUNERALS PAGE

This part of life is the most difficult.

Whilst it is a time of deep sadness, it is also a time for “celebrating a life”

The funeral service is a carefully composed ceremony paying adequate tribute to your loved one… the Eulogy is delivered with dignity and empathy... it will be memorable, effective and compassionate... I make sure the person’s beliefs and ideals are reflected in the ceremony.
I present a correct biography of your loved one.

I can arrange to meet with you in your own home and I spend a few hours discussing the life of your loved one. We discuss where your loved one was born and raised, schooling, work, family life, hobbies, life achievements, special memories.

In facing loss, we come to realise that love is all that matters. Love is the only thing we take with us… Unfortunately we are not taught how to prepare for the death of someone close to us, although grief is one of the strongest emotions we’ll ever have to bear. Our life will never be the same again – we just have to learn to live with our loss and realise sadly, that it was our loved one’s time to die. And we have to understand that our journey continues.

There is no easy way around grief. It is a natural response to loss... grief is a healthy, normal part of the healing process. Grief does not last forever. Each of us grieves in our own way over different periods of time.

Psychiatrist Dr Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, wrote:
“our time in a physical body is a very short span of our total existence.. It is an important time because we are here for a very special purpose which is ours and ours alone”

I am available to help and support you in a time that can be very stressful. You can call me direct OR just tell your funeral director to contact me.
